La Bourdonnerie is a lovingly renovated 300 year old traditonal Norman farm situated in an idyllic countryside location. We are less than an hour from the ferry port of Cherbourg on the West cost of the Cotentin Peninsula, Lower Normandy.

The farm consists of an imposing main house and 3 Holiday Cottages, or Gites, that have been converted from the beautiful natural stone barns and cider press, all set within 3 acres of landscaped grounds. .
The cottages and farmhouse encircle a traditional Norman courtyard with flower beds, seating and a gently bubbling stream. Beyond you will discover an orchard, two ponds, chicken & goat enclosures, ducks, singing frogs and a large playing field perfect for children to play and to excercise dogs.

We are well situated for trips to Le Mont Saint Michael, Bayeux, and the Normandy Landing Beaches. The markets towns of La Haye du Puits and Lessay with their boulangeries, boucheries, charcuteries and weekly markets are within 5 minutes drive. We are based within the Bessin Nature Reserve, and and enjoy a year round mild microclimate.
